Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "Client") and Bugfed ("Bugfed," "we," "us") governing your access to and use of the Bugfed crowdsourced software-testing platform at bugfed.comand all associated services (collectively, the "Service").
Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription or credit pack, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Accounts & Eligibility
To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) and capable of forming a binding contract.
You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Bugfed is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to your account due to your failure to safeguard your credentials.
One person or entity may not maintain more than one free or trial account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or billing is a material breach of these Terms.
Description of Service
Bugfed provides a managed crowdsourced software-testing platform that:
- —Allows Clients to submit apps or web products for structured testing by real users.
- —Matches submitted Test Runs with a pool of vetted Testers.
- —Collects, verifies, and presents structured Bug Reports to Clients.
- —Provides tester management, scheduling, and quality controls so Clients do not have to.
Bugfed does not guarantee specific bug discovery outcomes. The quality and quantity of Bug Reports depends on the complexity of your application and the test instructions provided. Bugfed acts as an intermediary between Clients and Testers and does not warrant that any particular number of bugs exist or will be found.
Bugfed reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where practical.
Subscriptions & Credits
4.1 — Subscriptions
Subscription plans are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis. Each plan provides a set number of Test Run allowances per billing period as described on the Pricing page. Unused Test Runs do not roll over to the next billing period unless explicitly stated.
4.2 — Credit Packs
Credits are sold in packs (Micro, Starter, Pro) and can be redeemed at any time. Credits do not expire and are associated with your account. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account.
4.3 — Consuming Credits
One Credit or one Test Run allowance is consumed when a Test Run is successfully initiated (i.e., accepted and dispatched to Testers). If Bugfed is unable to dispatch your Test Run due to a platform error on our side, the Credit or allowance will be restored.
Billing & Payment
All payments are processed by Dodo Payments. By providing a payment method, you authorise Bugfed (via Dodo Payments) to charge the applicable fees.
- —Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually).
- —Annual subscriptions are billed in full upfront.
- —Prices are shown in USD and are exclusive of any applicable taxes. You are responsible for all applicable taxes.
- —If a payment fails, we will retry it up to three times over seven days. If payment is not collected, your account may be downgraded or suspended.
- —Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice delivered to your registered email address. Continued use after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance.
Refund Policy
6.1 — Subscriptions
Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as described below.
- —If you cancel a monthly subscription, it remains active until the end of the current billing period. No prorated refund is issued.
- —If you cancel an annual subscription within 7 days of the initial purchase and have not initiated any Test Runs, you may request a full refund by emailing contact@mail.bugfed.com.
- —If you have initiated or completed a Test Run, the 7-day refund policy is completely void, even if the 7-day period has not elapsed. This is because Bugfed incurs immediate costs by paying Testers directly.
- —After 7 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable.
6.2 — Credit Packs
Credit pack purchases are non-refundable once the credits have been added to your account, except where required by law. If a credit is consumed due to a verified Bugfed platform error, we will restore the credit.
6.3 — Service Failure
If a Test Run you have paid for fails to launch due to a fault on our side (not your content or instructions), we will either re-run the test at no charge or restore the credit or Test Run allowance to your account. This is your sole remedy for a failed Test Run.
Acceptable Use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- —Submit apps that are illegal, contain malware, spyware, or any code designed to harm Testers' devices.
- —Submit apps that contain pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise offensive content.
- —Submit apps that infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
- —Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Platform.
- —Use the Platform to conduct competitive intelligence against Bugfed.
- —Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data.
- —Circumvent or disable security features of the Platform.
- —Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the Platform in ways that are not expressly permitted.
Bugfed reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account without notice if we believe you are violating this section.
Your Content & Apps
You retain ownership of all intellectual property rights in the apps and content you submit. By submitting content, you grant Bugfed a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:
- —Distribute your app to Testers for the purpose of fulfilling your Test Run.
- —Store, process, and display your content and Bug Reports within the Platform.
This licence is solely for the purpose of operating the Service and terminates when you delete your content or close your account (subject to standard retention periods for billing and audit records).
You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have the right to submit the content; (b) the content does not infringe any third party's rights; and (c) the content complies with all applicable laws and these Terms.
Our Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the Platform, its software, designs, trademarks, trade names, and service marks are owned by Bugfed or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any intellectual property rights in the Platform except the limited right to use it as set out herein.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works of any part of the Platform without our express written permission.
Tester Relationship
Testers are independent third-party users of Bugfed's separate tester platform. Testers are not employees, agents, or contractors of Bugfed for the purposes of your engagement.
Bugfed is responsible for recruiting, vetting, paying, and managing Testers. Client fees include tester payouts — you are not required to pay Testers separately. You may not solicit, contact, or hire Testers directly outside of the Platform without Bugfed's prior written consent.
Bug Reports submitted by Testers represent their observations and are presented to you as-is after Bugfed's quality review. Bugfed does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or exhaustiveness of any Bug Report.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Bugfed does not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses; (b) any specific number of bugs will be found; (c) the Service will meet your specific requirements; or (d) results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BUGFED AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF BUGFED HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Bugfed's total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees paid by you to Bugfed in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim; or (b) USD $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In such cases, the above exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bugfed and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your Content; or (d) any claim that your Content infringes the intellectual property rights of a third party.
Termination
14.1 — By You
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period for subscriptions. Credit balances are forfeited upon account closure.
14.2 — By Bugfed
Bugfed may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if: (a) you breach these Terms; (b) we are required to by law; or (c) continued operation of the account creates legal, technical, or security risk for Bugfed or other users.
14.3 — Effect of Termination
Upon termination: your right to access the Service ceases immediately; we may delete your data subject to our retention policy; provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
Dispute Resolution
15.1 — Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at contact@mail.bugfed.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days of receiving your notice.
15.2 — Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any unresolved disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts competent for such matters, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
15.3 — Class Action Waiver
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND BUGFED AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
Changes to These Terms
Bugfed reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, by sending an email to your registered address at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your account before the effective date.
